Results of the lottery on August 1 was number drawn were 11, 20, 21 and 22. No jackpot winner or no match-three winners. Lucky dip winners were Michael Kehoe, Knockmarsh­al and Aidan Doyle, Courtnacud­dy. Seller prize went to Hugh Dunne. Volunteers are needed for a bag pack in Tesco’s Gorey on Thursday and Friday, August 18 and 19.

VINTAGE DAY

A Holy Hour with Exposition of Blessed Sacrament will take place in Courtnacud­dy Church on Sunday, September 11, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Holy Hour will take place every second Sunday of each month.

ROSARY

The Fatima Rosary takes place in Davidstown Church on 13 of each month at 3 p.m. Every first Saturday morning there is a rosary hour in Courtnacud­dy church from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. In Davidstown the rosary will be said before all masses. All are welcome to come along and take part.

SUMMER TIN WHISTLE AND CONCERTINA CLASSES

Kids’ Club for primary school children in the community center, Ferns takes place from August 22 to August 26 from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Activities include games, crafts, Bible stories, songs, snacks and lots of fun and it’s free. FERNS DRAMATIC SOCIETY

Ferns Dramatic Society are holding their annual Golf Classic at Blackwater Golf Course on Saturday, August 22. Teams of four are €80. Prize for first three teams plus special prize for nearest the pin. Best non GUI score and Junior Prizes.
