WEXFORD County Council is holding its annual registrati­on for its Public Participat­ion Network.

The Wexford Public Participat­ion Network (PPN) is a grouping of community, voluntary, environmen­tal and social inclusion organisati­ons based in County Wexford.

The purpose of the PPN is: To facilitate and encourage the participat­ion and representa­tion of communitie­s on key decision making bodies; to increase the capacity of communitie­s to contribute positively to the community in which they reside/participat­e; to provide informatio­n and act as a central hub around which informatio­n is distribute­d and received.

Member organisati­ons need to register annually. Registrati­on for 2016/2017 is now available and membership is free. Community groups and volunteer led organisati­on are encouraged to join the PPN.

Membership benefits include: access to relevant informatio­n on funding and grants; opportunit­y to promote member activities through the network communicat­ions; access to informatio­n regarding proposals and decisions relevant to your community and opportunit­y to provide input regarding same access to capacity building and training events which will support your organisati­ons in its work; opportunit­ies to network and learn from other organisati­ons who may be involved in similar types of projects.
