RUN THE GAP 2016
The annual 10Km Trail Run and family walk on Annagh Hill will take place on Halloween Bank Holiday Monday, leaving the Gap pub at 1.30 p.m. Registration from 12.30 p.m. Runners – €10. Participants will include members of the newly formed Gap Trail Runners and Wexford’s number one – Tom Hogan and Dena Hogan, winners of the previous two runs. Refreshments afterwards in the Gap Pub. All proceeds to Gap Tidy Towns.

GAA
Flying the flag for the parish are the boys and girls Rackard league and mini sevens football teams. The girls overcame Monamolin school on Thursday to progress to the district final next week. The Kilanerin girls mini sevens are in the district final in Patrick’s park Tuesday the 25th. The boys had a good win over Wexford CBS on Friday last and are due to play Glynn over the next few days. The club has applied for planning permission to upgrade the floodlights to hurling standard. Before and after Christmas are important times for news on the allocation of long awaited grants to sports clubs. The lotto jackpot is now at €5,100 with the next draw in Noels on the 24th. The numbers in the last draw were 4, 17, 21 and 27. There was one match-three winner who gets €200. Sympathy of the club to the Jones family on the death of Fr Aidan.
SCARY WALK
The girls’ section, along with Hollyfort Tidy Towns, are doing a haunted walk through the woods after sunset on Sat the 29th, starting from the old schoolhouse. The walk will take approx 40 minutes (if you don’t run away in fright) and a contribution of €5 will be appreciated.
