COOLGREANY DRAMA FESTIVAL

Coolgreany’s annual festival will start off on this Wednesday night, October 26, in Inch Hall with a Comedy by New Ross Drama Group ‘Last Tango in Little Grimley’ by David Tristram.

Followed by a romance from the Square One Group ‘ Blue Love’ by David Butler, and to conclude Wednesday night Coolgreany Drama Group will present a Murder Mystery ‘Trifles’ by Susan Glaspel.

On Thursday night October 27, Coolgreany Drama Group will open with a Comic Drama ‘ The Quiet Land’ by Malachy McKenna, followed by Coolgreany Drama with a Romantic Drama ‘Melody’ by Deirdre Kinahan,

On Friday night, October 28, Lucan Drama Group will present a Comedy ‘Subtractio­n’ by Kevin McFillen, followed by New Ross Drama Group with another Comedy ‘Interior Designs’ by Jimmy Chinn.

The festival will conclude with the adjudicati­on and final comments from the adjudicato­r Mr Martin Maguire, and presentati­on of awards and prizes.

21ST BIRTHDAYS.

Congratula­tions to Colin Kennedy, Askinch, and Miranda O’Toole, Fortcheste­r, who celebrated their 21st birthdays when they both came together for a Double Celebratio­n in the Golden Anchor on last Saturday night where over 150 Family members and a host of friends came together and enjoyed a great night, with the Golden Anchor providing some lovely finger food, at the conclusion both Colin and Miranda thanked their parents and friends for making the whole night such a success, and afterwards enjoyed
