TALK ON FATIMA

You are invited to a talk on ‘The Message of Fatima’ given by Mr Seán Kinsella, an expert on Fatima. The venue is the Old School in Glenbrien on Thursday, November 3, at 8 p.m. All are welcome and bring a friend. There will be light refreshmen­ts after the talk.

CAMOGIE CLUB NEWS

The club’s AGM will take place on Sunday, November 27, at 7 p.m. in the Community Centre. All players/parents are expected to attend.

Hard luck to the minor girls who lost out to Cloughbawn by two points after extra time in the county semi-final last weekend. Well done to the under-14 girls who finished up their year with a blitz hosted by St Ibar’s last weekend. All our teams have finished up now for 2016 and we look forward to seeing you all at the AGM.

This year we will be facilitati­ng the collection of boxes for the Shoebox appeal for anyone interested in taking part. There are informatio­n leaflets available in the school office. Boxes can be left int the school during the week we come back after mid term.

A huge thank you to all the parents who helped with the first ever Sponsored Witch walk which took place around the community on Friday last. It was really enjoyed by the parents the Childre and the Staff of the school, also a big thank You to the parents who donated the goodies the decoration­s and the food for the event it was greatly appreciate­d.

The very best o f Luck to Breanna Sluddz Keane and Christophe­r Kelly who have qualified and will take part in this competitio­n in City West over the next five days, have a great time Guys and enjoy the experience.
