Big turnout in London
THE London Wexford Association recently held their Annual buffet Dance at The Mazenod Club in Quex Road, Kilburn, London.
There was there was a large attendance at function with elected members and officials travelling to London to attend.
Among the attendance was Mayor of Wexford Cllr Frank Staples, Angela Laffan, District Manager of Wexford County Council, Cllr John Hegarty, Vice Chair of Gorey Municipal District Council, Cllr Robbie Ireton, Gorey Distict Council, Cllr Michael Whelan, Chair of New Ross Municipal District Council, Cllr Willie Fitzharris, Vice Chair of New Ross Municipal District Council and Cllr Oliver Walsh, Chair of Enniscorthy Municipal District Council.
The organisers said they wanted to say a big thanks to all who attended our function and to all the sponsors especially to Justin Ffrench who donated raffle prizes to all who who support the association.
A big thanks to the manager Fethard native Anna Redmond and all the staff at The Mazenod Club and to Emily Cronin for the sumptuous food which was enjoyed by all the guests.
Presentations were made to honorary guests and concluded with a raffle. Musical entertainment was provided by Pat Nugent & Mustang.
A big congratulatios goes out to London County Champions Fr Murphy’s Intermediate hurling team and management who won the Shanley Memorial Cup .
