The winner of split-the-pot on Saturday, October 29, was Jamie Kelly, prize money was €325. On Saturday, November 5, winner was Winnie Kavanagh, prize money was €322. Don’t forget envelopes are on sale in all outlets in the village. The light committee would like to thank everyone who has supported the draw to date. Draw takes place every Saturday night.

Renewal fees for the coming year for Ballycanew-Ballyought­er Text Alert Group are now due. Ballycanew area sign up nights: Thursday, November 10, and Tuesday, November 15, in the Church of Ireland Hall, Ballycanew from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. both nights. Renewal fees are €10 per year per contact.

COLLECTION THANKS

The Wexford branch of Down’s Syndrome Ireland would like to thank most sincerely everyone who gave so generously to their recent church gate collection in Ballycanew and Ballyought­er. All money collected will stay in the Wexford branch and will be used to benefit all the children and adults with Down Syndrome, amount collected and banked was €228.70. Amount collected and banked in Ballyought­er was €154.70.

ST PATRICK’S GAA

LOTTO – There was no winner of the jackpot on Monday, November 1; winning numbers were 2, 17, 20 and 26; three people matched three numbers to each receive €70: Suzanne and Shane, Viv Earle, Tom Gregory.

CLUB AGM’S – The adult section of St Patrick’s GAA club will hold its AGM on Friday, November 18, at 7.15 p.m. in the clubhouse, Camolin. Anyone wishing to nominate a club member for a position for the coming year are asked to contact Tommy at 087 2914310.

The underage annual general meeting will take place on Sunday, November 13, at 5 p.m. in the clubhouse. Your attendance would be appreciate­d. Everyone welcome.

1991 JUNIOR HURLING ANNIVERSAR­Y – There will be a 25th anniversar­y presentati­on to our 1991 Junior Hurling Co. Champions panel and management taking place on Saturday, November 19, in Jacks Tavern Camolin. This will also be the last club social event of the year. Everyone is welcome to attend.
