Be Vigliant as the long winter nights are upon us and with recent burglaries in Camolin, the Ballyduff Community Alert are urging everybody to be vigliant. Please secure your homes and valuables and watch out for vunerable neighbours. Any suspicious activity can be reported by calling Enniscorthy Gardaí at 053 9242580 or by calling or texting the text alert phone at the number circulated to all its members. A man that had been reported missing was found safe and well in our area recently. We would like to thank the caller who triggered the alert for their vigilance and anybody who helped to get the man to safety. We would also like to thank Enniscorthy Gardaí for their quick response. The Ballyduff Community Alert wishes the man well and we were delighted to be able to assist in getting him back safely to his family. Card Drive
The committee of the Community Alert would like to thank everybody who attended our card drive in Clonee GAA Complex last Friday night, November 18. We would also like to thank everybody who helped with the Teas or in any way on the night. A great night was had by all. SCHOOL CONCERT
The Children of Ballyduff NS will join the Carrigbyrne Pike Choir in a fundraising concert in aid of Ballyduff N.S. The Carrigbyrne Pike Choirwill perform a Celtic Christmas Celebration entitled ‘Season of Joy’ on the night. The concert will take place on Sunday, December 11, at 6 p.m. in St Aidan’s Church, Ferns. Tickets are available through the school or Ferns Parish Office, Adults €10, Students €5. Raffle on the night.

BALLYDUFF LADIES CLUB
The Ladies Club will not meet again till February 2017. The next meeting in December will be their annual Christmas outing. Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing new faces in the new year.

CHRISTMAS DRAW
The Parish Committee’s Christmas draw will be held on December 18 after 11 a.m. Mass. This year’s draw features a bumber list of 16 prizes ranging from a vacuum cleaner, through various vouchers, confections and alcoholic beverages, winter fuels down to a lovely tin of biscuits. Lines costing €2 each or three for €5 are available from committee members and are also on sale before or after all weekend Masses in St Cormac’s church.
PARENT/TODDLER GROUP
The parent and toddler group meets in Boolavogue Hall every Wednesday morning from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. It is a great place to get to know other parents in the area and allow the children to meet others and take part in various stimulating activities. Everyone is welcome so don’t be shy about joining in.

On Sunday the 20th, the men’s ‘A’ team were away to Ferns and shared the spoils. Paul ‘Roddy’ Doyle got our goal in a draw dominated by St Cormac’s. Matthew Dunne was the player-of-thematch.
The men’s ‘B’ team were also away on the 20th, taking on league leaders Wexford Albion and losing by 0-1.
GAA LOTTO
In the draw on Tuesday last, the jackpot survived as no lucky punter had picked 2, 19, 22 and 28. It has now been increased to €8,100 and the draw for this will be held in the club’s complex in Monageer on Tuesday, December 6, at 9.30 p.m. Ann Fenlon, Ballymurtagh and John Fitzgerald were close, though, and shared the €160 between them. Tickets for the next draw can be had from all club members and local shops and pubs.

There was no winner of the jackpot on Monday, November 14; winning numbers were 7, 11, 12 and 16; Jack Morris and Adam Dunne matched three numbers to each receive €100.
