BOOK LAUNCH

Damien Cullen will launch his book ‘Castleboro, The Lost Legacy’ on December 15 at 8.30 p.m. in the Cloch Ban. This books gives a historical insight to the Castleboro Estate from its foundation­s to its demise, and from the arrival of the Carew Family to their Departure. Packed full of local history and photos, it will make great reading.

The night was very well attended with refreshmen­ts provided by Nancy and Co. Marie Asple provided an impressive slide show of all the age groups in action over the course of the season. Many thanks to all who helped make the night a success.

DECORATION­S COMPETITIO­N

Congratula­tions to the children from Castledock­rell National School who took part in the Christmas Decoration­s competitio­n organised by Wexford County Council. The class winners were Shífra (Junior Infants), Nicole (Senior Infants), Emelia (first Class), Joe (second Class), Ava (third Class), Leah (fourth Class), Luke (5th Class) and Grace (sixth Class).

The winning entries are displayed in County Hall and will represent the school in County Final. Well done, everyone.
