Tara Bridge

Collection
County Wexford Community Workshop, Bellefield, Enniscorthy, will hold its annual Church gate collection in all chapels in the greater Gorey area on Saturday, December 31, and Sunday, January 1. All money collected will stay in the workshop in Bellefield. Your support is very greatly appreciated.
Watchnight
Gorey Methodist Church will welcome the new year on Saturday, December 31, at 11.15 p.m. with Watchnight Worship. All are most welcome.
Christ Church
The service times for the Church of Ireland Gorey group of parishes for Sunday, January 1 are as follows: 8.30 a.m. Holy Communion, Christ Church, Gorey; 7 p.m. Carol Service, St. Luke’s Church, Leskinfere. These are the only services on this Sunday in the group of parishes.
GROW support
GROW holds free weekly peer support meetings on Mondays at 7.30 p.m. in The Presentation Centre, Enniscorthy; on Wednesdays at 7.30 p.m. in Room 101 in Gorey Community School; on Thursdays at 10 a.m. in a meeting room in Tesco, Gorey; and on Thursdays at 7.30 p.m. in Clonard Parish Centre, Wexford.
GROW is dedicated to promoting positive mental health and helps people on the road to mental health recovery. It is for anyone aged over 18 who is struggling with any aspect of their mental health. No referral is required. Just come along and give it a go. Meetings are a confidential place to talk about how you feel. The task focused programme will give you some direction for the week. We also meet socially for a coffee or a trip to the cinema to give us time to enjoy simple things and not to talk about our struggles.

Gorey Library
Gorey Library is closed this week for the Christmas holiday and reopens on Tuesday, January 3.
We look forward to continuing with our regular events in 2017. We are already organising new activities, lectures and author visits. We are adding a new literature appreciation course and a scrabble evening to our regular menu of Irish conversation groups, sean nós singing, reading and writing groups, Shakespeare appreciation, history lectures, author visits and lots more.

House of Stories
The Ár mBreacha House of Storytelling, Raheen, Ballyduff, invites everyone along on Tuesday, January 3, at 8 p.m., and to bring their visitors, friends, and children, as the house kicks off its 25th anniversary celebration year. Ár mBreacha is open on the first Tuesday of each month from 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome. No admission fee.

Parkrun

Gorey Active Retirement Association wishes all its members a Happy New Year.
The annual general meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 24, in The Loch gCarman Arms at 2.30 p.m.
Annual subscriptions are now due. All activities are back to normal from Tuesday, January 9.
New members are always welcome join us for our coffee morning on Friday mornings in the Loch gCarman.

The Conradh na Gaeilge informal conversation group with Finán Casey meets in Gorey Library on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and is a excellent opportunity to practice and improve your spoken Irish.
Or join Colm Ó Braonáin in the library on Tuesdays also at 7 p.m. to explore and learn from the rich store of traditional sean-nós songs as Gaeilge.

Sue Ryder
The Sue Ryder charity shop in Gorey is open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is grateful for donations of clothes, bric-a-brac, small items of furniture and good quality toys. The shop will reopen on Wednesday, December 28, at 10 a.m.
SVP furniture
St Vincent de Paul Gorey welcomes donations of good saleable furniture for its shop on McDermott Street, Gorey. We will collect all donations. Please ring 089 4439667 or 086 3962260. The hours of opening are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Gorey Old Folks Club opens its clubhouse doors to members and non-members on Tuesdays from 12 midday to 3 p.m. Just call in for a chat, cup of tea, and bingo.
The club also meets on Wednesdays in the clubhouse from 7 p.m. New members are welcome.
Gorey Country Market
Gorey Country Market returns on Saturday, January 7, in the Scout Hall on Esmonde Street, Gorey, and continues every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 midday.
