€20 notes for five more readers!
IT pays to read the Guardian in more ways than one.
As a way of saying thank you to our loyal readers, our Buy and Win promotions team has been busy for the past few weeks stopping in to retail outlets in our readership area, and handing €20 notes at random to shoppers who were spotted heading for the cash register with a copy of their favourite local newspaper in their hands.
Dan Connolly from Wells happened to be in Breen’s Londis in Carnew when our team saw him heading for the newspaper shelves. He was delighted to receive a €20 note for his support of his local paper.
In Enniscorthy, our team called to O’Callaghan’s Centra in Templeshannon when they saw Frank Delaney pick up a copy of the Guardian. He too was surprised and delighted with his win.
In Delaney’s on Rafter Street, Theresa Frayne from Marshalstown was delighted to be presented with the cash simply for purchasing the Guardian.
The flying visits to shops across the district continued, and in Hammell’s Centra in Kilmuckridge, an unsuspecting Sonia Dempsey was in picking up a few items when the copy of the Guardian in her hand earned her an unexpected twenty euro.
In Lambert’s Londis in Camolin, local customer Bernard Murphy was looking forward to his weekly read when he was pounced upon by our team who forced a €20 note into his hand. So well done to all who won!
