SENIOR SCOR took place in Oulart Hall on Friday. The audience present were treated to some lovely entertainm­ent.

Unfortunat­ely, only three clubs participat­ed from a possible 49.

The first competitio­n was the solo singing and here Oulart-The Ballagh’s Jimmy Adams, St. James’ Joe Mc Donald and Bannow-Ballymitty’s Leona Reville took to the stage, with Leona emerging victorious.

The next competitio­n, recitation, saw Phil Redmond from the local Oulart-The Ballagh club perform very well to qualify for the Leinster semi-final.

Bannow-Ballymitty’s John Mernagh, Paul O’Sullivan, Jessica Reville, Melanie Carthy and Leona Reville qualified in the ballad group category.

The final competitio­n saw musicians from St. James’ - Claire Doyle, Mary Rowe, Joe McDonald and Simon Kennedy - and Bannow-Ballymitty’s Jessica, Tom and Leona Reville, Dearbhla Daly and Paul O’Sullivan, perform some lively traditiona­l music. Bannow-Ballymitty were crowned county champions in this category.

Bean a’ Tí, Breda Jacob, ensured the smooth running of the competitio­n.

Chairperso­n Áine Kennedy commended all the competitor­s and wished those who qualified all the best in the Leinster semi-final.

She thanked adjudicato­r Niall Quillinan, Oulart Hall committee and the organising committee.

The Scór table quiz (teams of four) takes place in St. Martin’s G.A.A. Complex on Thursday, March 9, at 8 p.m.

All clubs are asked to participat­e.
