Yeats College, Waterford, cover a wide range of subjects
YEATS College, Waterford, caters for Fifth Year, Sixth Year and Repeat Leaving Certificate students. A comprehensive range of subjects is provided and the teaching is of a very high standard. The Yeats Christmas Revision Courses were hugely successful and a further series of Revision Courses for Leaving and Junior Certs will be held at Easter during the week beginning Monday 10th April. Forthcoming courses also include a Biology Revision Day on May 6th and a Higher Maths Revision Day on May 13th.. All of these courses are open to outside students.
In Yeats College students are provided with classes in Study Skills and Examination Techniques and on how best to maximise their chances in the Examination Hall. On average, each student can avail of up to 26 hours of Supervised Study each week. Using these study sessions wisely and seeing other students do the same goes a long way to convincing students that they learn best when they take control of their own learning.
Choosing the appropriate subjects in Fifth Year is vital and we place great emphasis on Career Guidance. We also schedule monthly assessments and with the quality and effectiveness of the teaching we provide, we are confident that our students are well-prepared for the challenges that the Leaving Certificate poses.
Students and Parents who wish to explore the possibility of enrolling in Yeats are welcome to arrange an introductory meeting with the Principal, Mr. John Heffernan, at any stage during the school year.
We provide a list of recommended lodgings for students who are not within daily commuting distance of Waterford. For further information please telephone 051 – 304211, email yeats@eircom.net or see our website www.yeatscollege.ie.
