DEMAND for farm labour throughout the South East region is still very high. Farm Solutions Ltd is busy filling this demand and has opportunities for persons who want to work in the agricultural area. At Farm Solutions they provide a relief milking and general farm work service. Opportunities are available for mainly part time positions but there are a number of full time positions to be filled at the present time. Part time work allows flexibility for someone to provide relief services along with their own farming, study or other duties. The options may be weekend milking, weekday milking, 1, 2 or 3 full days each week or a combination of the above. We would particularly like to hear from third level students who will be looking for work when the college year ends in May.

A number of dairy farmers in the area require a full time person for 200+ cow herds. The job entails the milking of the herd and the operation of tractors and farmyard machinery such as feeders, loaders, fertiliser and slurry spreaders. The ideal candidate will need to have a keen eye for the health & welfare of the stock and have the ability to implement proper grassland management procedures. Accommodation is available on farm in some instances.
