Over 200 in art and handwriting finals
CASTLEBRIDGE national school was the venue for the County Wexford finals of the Community Games Art and Handwriting competitions.
Numbers were up on last year, with 70 children competing in the Handwriting events and over 140 children in the Art competitions.
Organised by the local Castlebridge/ Crossabeg committee, the events went off very smoothly and Community Games have extended thanks to the school management for the use of their premises, to the children and their parents for attending, to all who helped out with supervising, and to the judges who gave of their time to select the winners.
The presentation of prizes took place at the Ferrycarrig hotel and once again the children and their families turned up in large numbers to collect their medals. UNDER 10 GIRLS 1.
