FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE

The Easter Workshops start on Monday, April 10, to Thursday, April 13, and Tuesday, April 18, to Friday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. for ages 4-10 years, cost €5 per day (bring a packed lunch). Now taking bookings at 053 9130393.

BRIDGE CLUB

Come Play Bridge Every Thursday Morning From 10.am at Seán Óg’s Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge, no partner needed – we have a joker system in operation. All Are Welcome.

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

On April 11, 18 and 25 we will hold a Health and Fitness month with Michelle a trained instructor who will help us to exercise and have a healthy eating plan through fun. This is also open to all women of a certain age.

BATTERY RECYCLING

Please drop off your old and used batteries, toner cartridges, postage stamps, and old mobile phones at the Photo shop, Kilmuckrid­ge. All funds raised from used batteries go towards Laura Lynn, and monies raised from toners and phones go towards the Dogs’ Trust. This project is organized by Tidy Towns in conjunctio­n with WEE.

BEECHBROOK PARK

Help clean-up the estate meet up on the second Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. Clean up dates for 2017: May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9.

Please remember that in order for us all to live in a nice environmen­t it is the responsibi­lity of us all to help with the upkeep of the estate. As you will appreciate weed killer and petrol for the mower does not come free and we are looking for a voluntary contributi­on of €20 per household (you can pay €2 per month or any amount you can afford). Please take your contributi­on to Lesley at No. 53. Thank you to those who have already contribute­d.

TIDY TOWNS

Spring clean will be Sunday, April 23 at midday - please contact a member of Tidy Towns if you would like to help out.

North Wexford 2K clean - Tidy Towns will be entering Morriscast­le Road, Tinteskin Close leading 2k out of the village, this competitio­n runs for the month of April. Please see our Facebook page for further details.

PHOTO COMPETITIO­N

Kilmuckrid­ge Tidy Towns and the Photo Shop would like to announce details of the 2017 Photograph­y Competitio­n. Theme will be ‘Kilmuckrid­ge Through Our Eyes’. Photograph­s should be set around Kilmuckrid­ge and its townlands, including our local beaches, but the subject must be from or based in Kilmuckrid­ge.

All photograph­s entered must be a minimum size of 7x5 inch, labelled and framed. All entries will be considered for use in the Tidy Towns 2018 Calendar. The entered photograph­s will be exhibited over the Easter weekend from Good Friday, April 14, to Easter Monday, April 17, in the KMH (times to be confirmed). You can vote for your favourite photograph at 50c per vote and you can vote as many times as you like. Winners will be announced on Easter Monday.

Cllr Mary Farrell will officially open the event. €3 entry will include teas / coffees, cake, music / entertainm­ent and a raffle. Tickets for the coffee evening are on sale from the Photo Shop (087 9417456), Joe & Bridie Hammels Bar, and John Hearne (087 2254580) or any member of the tidy towns.

SHIPWRECKS EXHIBITION

The Photo Shop will also be holding an exhibition on ‘Shipwrecks off our coastline’ this very popular exhibit will also include ‘Photos from Kilmuckrid­ge’s Past’ over the Easter Weekend. This exhibit showed great interest last year and no doubt will prove the same this year.

BUFFERS ALLEY GAA

Super Féile Draw – Tickets are currently in circulatio­n for the upcoming Féile fundraiser with attractive prizes to be won. U6 Training – Now that the weather has improved and we are looking forward to the sunshine, training for under-6 boys will take place in Buffers Alley on Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. New families very welcome to join. Contact Ger Hendrick for details 086 8504751.

HOST FAMILIES

We are looking for caring host families for our Spanish students for July 2017. Students attend Gorey Community School all day every day and a bus will be provided every day from the centre of Kilmuckrid­ge village. MEN’S SHED

Why not drop in for a cuppa and a chat into the Men’s Shed Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shed is located beside St Mary’s Catholic Church. For further informatio­n, please contact 053 9130393.

PARENT/BABY/TODDLER

Kilmuckrid­ge, parent, baby and Toddler Group meet on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at the indoor and outdoor play areas, located in St Joseph’s NS prefab. Cost is €3 per family which includes tea, coffee and snacks.
