First lady at last week’s whist was Kathleen Carr; second lady was Rosari Gillick; third lady was Ann Fleming and half time lady was Alice Gibney; first gent was Noel Carter; second gent was Mary McCarthy; third gent was Marie Cushe and half time gent was shared by Sadie Mordaunt and Betty Rose; student winner was Ross Bailey; raffle winners on the night were Moll O’Toole Noel Carter and Jack Stanley Whist continues on Wednesday night at 8.30 p.m.

GAA ACTION

The under-14 boys’ football feile team had a good win over Sarsfield however Buffers Alley and Gorey proved too strong for our boys to advance further in the competiton. The adult hurlers a defeated Buffers Alley by a point in the Rock on Sunday last.

Ballyfad Hall committee are looking for people to participat­e in their three peak challenge on Saturday, May 6, The challenge will be to climb Mount Leinster, Sliabh Bhui and Croghan all on the day.
