Double bereavemen­t for Murray family

THE BURIAL took place in The Ballagh at the weekend of Mary Deegan-Kennedy who died suddenly in England after travelling there to attend a memorial service for her recently deceased aunt.

Mary, nee Murray, who lived in Castletroy, Limerick, and was originally from Tinraheen, Ballaghkee­n, had travelled to the UK with her father Johnny to bring home the remains of her aunt Sister Michelle Murray, when she died suddenly and unexpected­ly on Tuesday, May 2.

Sr Murray, formerly of Tinraheen, The Ballagh, was the beloved daughter of the late William and Mary, and is sadly missed by Nancy, Eileen, Mary-Ellen and Johnny. Her Funeral Mass was held in St John the Baptist Church, The Ballagh on Sunday, May 7. She was laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The Requiem Mass for her niece Mary was held at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Milford, Castletroy, on Saturday, followed by burial in Ballaghkee­n Cemetery, The Ballagh, on Saturday evening.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Declan, and dearly loved mother of Darren, David and Niamh. She was the cherished daughter of Johnny and the late Nuala, and loving granny to Shannon and Kayla.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sister Jennifer, brothers John, Billy, Joey, Nicky, mother-in-law Annie, father-inlaw Liam, and a wide circle of family and friends.

May they Rest in Peace.
