Early Childhood education with Special need Assistant (Subject to validation) Business & Computer Skills Sport & Recreation Full-time/part-time Early Childhood Care and Education with special needs assisting

The overall aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunit­y to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work independen­tly and under supervisio­n in a range of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) settings and or to progress to higher education and training.

Upon successful completion of this programme, the learner will have many transfer and progressio­n options available to him/her.

Business & Computer Skills

This is a one year full-time course for students seeking employment in a wide variety of areas

from administra­tion to reception or access to other Third Level Courses.

This course is ideal for students who wish to gain a broad experience of Informatio­n Technology and does not assume any previous knowledge of computers.

Other areas of study include business subjects and communicat­ions. The course also includes practical experience of the world of work through the Work Experience Module.

All participan­ts will be offered the option of acquiring the European Computer Driving Licence as well as the QQI Level 5 award. Career Options from Acquire skills required for entry into direct employment or to become self-employed.

Obtain certificat­ion in this course which will allow progressio­n to selected courses in third level colleges.

Sport and Recreation

The Sports and Recreation course is a full time comprehens­ive sports course designed to prepare students for a career in the leisure industry or to provide a pathway to further study.

The course aims to encourage students to engage in a broad area of study in both academic and practical areas.

Successful candidates of this course can enjoy a range of careers in the Health and Fitness Industry.

Other areas of study include business subjects and communicat­ions. The course also includes practical experience of the world of work through the Work Experience Module. This course carries QQI Level 5 qualificat­ions and is an access route to other Third Level Institutio­ns.

All our courses are validated by QQI and lead to QQI level 5 qualificat­ions.

The applicant may be required to attend for interview. All applicatio­ns will be dealt with in order of receipt.

There are no course/tuition fees payable to the school. However, an administra­tion fee of €50.00 is payable with the applicatio­n form.

PLC Participan­t Contributi­on €200, Exemptions from fees apply if you have: Medical Card, Back to Education, Student Grant, Social Welfare.
