It was a busy weekend across Wexford and beyond for the Sliabh Buidhe Rovers.

Friday night kicked things off with the Slaney Olympic summer league opener over one mile on the old Dublin Road. S.B.R. took 1, 2, 3 in a very competitive race with five runners under five minutes for the mile.

Joe Lillis showed a great turn of speed, winning in 4:53, followed by Tomás Kavanagh in a P.B. of 4:54 and Paul Gibbons one tick back in 4:55.

At the Aircon 5k in Enniscorthy on Sunday, Myles Gibbons led an S.B.R. 1,2, 3, 4 finish in the race. Paul Gibbons was second, Joe Lillis third and Tomás Kavanagh fourth.

Podge Sweeney, Frances Murphy and Tom Kavanagh were among the S.B.R. contingent who completed the race as well, but full results are not available at this time.

At the Arklow R.N.L.I. 10k, S.B.R. was well represented and had a third winner of the weekend, with Noel Kennedy leading the field out. Well done Noel. Ciara Nolan, Emma Nolan and Louise Kehoe all ran very well.

On Saturday in Gorey, Liam Breen was a very strong ninth overall in the Parkrun.

On Friday night, Ryan Gleeson ran the Splashworld 10k in Tramore and returned in a P.B. of 43:10.
