MICHELANGELO – LOVE AND DEATH
Exhibition on Screen will present ‘Michaelangelo – Love and Death’ in Movies@Gorey on Tuesday, June 13, at 8.20 p.m. To coincide with a new exhibition at the National Gallery of London, this film offers a full and fresh biography of Michelangelo, who is considered one of the greatest artists of the Renaissance – and perhaps of all time. This film explores his relationship with his contemporaries and his immense artistic practice.
CHESS COACHING

CYCLE IN KILMUCKRIDGE
On Tuesday, June 13, there will be a 7km family cycle run by the KBC Cycle Club. Registration will take place from 6.30 p.m. at St Joseph’s AFC, Kilmuckridge, with the cycle run getting under way at 7 p.m.
The route will take cyclists to Morriscastle Strand with a scheduled stop for refreshments at Lawlor’s shop in Morriscastle. Contact 087 8177962 for more details. This event is being held as part of National Bike Week.
POETRY EVENING
An evening of poetry based on a transatlantic collaboration between Carlow Writers’ Co-Operative and Heart Theatre Group from McHenry County College in Illinois, USA will be presented at Wexford Arts Centre tonight at 8pm.
The event will consist of spoken word and poetry and prose performances and readings with the award-winning US group exploring Irish material in innovative and dynamic ways and the Carlow co-operative examining what the US means to Ireland the the Irish. Admission is €5.
