Wexford to bloom for Flower & Garden Festival

-

THE Wexford County Flower & Garden Festival will take place from Saturday, July 1 to Sunday, July 9.

Helen Battigan, of The Flower Club, and Emma Hewlett, of GardenTrail, have got together to create the festival which celebrates the club’s 50th anniversary.

The festival will start with a Celebration Show at the EPA, Johnstown Castle, from July 1 to 2 and which will have a significant section of floral art to display some of the very successful talent in the club as well as competitions for plants, fruit, vegetables, preserves and baking.

This leads on to the Wexford Garden Trail members offering interesting events at their own locations throughout the county from the evening of Sunday, July 2.

These will be a fabulous experience for budding and experienced gardeners to get practical tips from garden celebrities, Wexford gardeners and garden centres.

What makes this garden trail special is the unique range of large and small gardens and centres which are lovingly cared for, with ideas to take home, and a great selection of plants, shrubs and trees that grow at them.

http://www.wexfordgardentrail.com/ will give you an insight into the special places you can visit in Co. Wexford.
