PATRON

The patron takes place in Limbrick Cemetery on Sunday, June 25, with prayers in the cemetery at 2.30 p.m. There will be no mass in the cemetery on the day. People are asked to take their rubbish home with them after cleaning the graves.

WHIST

Top score at last week’s whist was shared by Ann Cowman and Betty Rose; first lady was Lil Kavanagh; second lady was Rosari Gillick; third lady was shared by Naomi Tomkins and Tess Enright; half time lady was Breda O’Connor; first gent was Jack Stanley second gent was Keith Bailey; third gent was Marie Cushe and half time gent was Seán Murphy Student winner was Ross Bailey. Raffle winners on the night were Cyril Bryan Ross Bailey and Keith Bailey.

Sympathy to Peg McDonald on the death of her sister recently. Whist continues on Wednesday night at 8.30 p.m.

GAA CLUB NOTES

A busy weekend and a busy week ahead. Both adult football teams will have played league games. See wexfordgaa.ie/results for the outcomes and that of underage boys’ teams.

There was no jackpot winner in the club draw on the fifth. There was one match-three winner who got €200. The numbers were 6, 15, 16 and 26. Next draw on the 19th in Noels.

There will be lots of colour in the parish next Friday and Saturday when we host Longford slashers in camogie and Castleblan­ey in the under-14 hurling feile. Always an exciting weekend.

BALLYFAD FIELD DAY

The field day will take place on July 16 after the Patron (Prayers and blessing of graves) which starts at 2 p.m. The field day committee are looking for people to help out on the day if you are available on the day please contact Eileen Leonard 087 2678715 or Terence Clare 087 6884282 before Wednesday.

FILMMAKING

Kilanerin Community Filmmaking project are looking for participan­ts for its community filmmaking project this summer.
