Nine Centra stores go above and beyond to win awards
It was a night of celebrations for nine Wexford Centra stores after they were honoured at the 2017 Centra Quality Awards which was held in the Malton Hotel, Killarney.
Three of the Centra stores – O’Callaghan’s Enniscorthy, Goff/Davis’s Bridgetown, Caulfield’s Campile – were presented with the prestigious Excellence Ireland Supreme National Hygiene Award – Q Mark which is accredited by the Excellence Ireland Quality Association.
The award was bestowed to the retailers after they went above and beyond in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality and hygiene over a three-year period.
Meanwhile, a further six stores in Wexford were presented with the Excellence Ireland National Hygiene and Food Safety Certificate which is an independent verification of the highest standards of operational hygiene and food safety.
The stores to receive their certificate were: Flood’s Centra, Ramsgrange, Kiely’s Centra, Killinick, McSorely’s Centra, Ballinaboola, Hammel’s Centra, Kilmuckridge, Murphy/McCaffrey’s Centra, Rosslare and Sinnott’s Centra, Irishtown.
Centra Sales Director Ian Allen said: ‘It is a huge honour to receive a Quality Award from the EIQA, as it is an independent certification of the highest standards of operational hygiene and food safety in the food sector business. Ensuring food is safe for our consumers everyday is non-negotiable for every member of the Centra team.’
