A LITTLE TASTER

The Gleeson School of Music present a A Little Taster at the National Opera House at 6 p.m.. The Junior Choir, under the guidance of Darina and Nicola, is made up of primary school girls and boys from all around Wexford who come together every Thursday evening. Jessica has brought together an all-adult Irish Music Ensemble, of which many participan­ts are beginners on their chosen instrument­s. TOMHAGGARD 5K

Tomhaggard social centre’s annual 5k Walk/Run will take place at 11 a.m. Refreshmen­ts served. For details or to book contact Eimear at 086 1946311.

SCHOOL OF MUSIC CONCERT

Gleeson School of Music concert at National Opera House, starts 6 p.m. Showcasing wide range of talents, from beginners to advanced, children, teenagers and adults. Tickets €12. Book at the Opera House, 053 91 22144.

KNIGHTS AND PRINCESSES PARTY

Wells House and Gardens celebrates the summer holidays with a Knights and Princesses Party from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s the perfect excuse for princess dresses and knight costumes as you join the knight and princess as they roam the grounds of the estate in search of their true love. Then party at the children’s disco while enjoying a summer barbecue. Entry €8 per car with extra charge for the barbecue.

THE BALLAGH PATRON AND FIELD DAY

The annual event starts with prayers beginning in the cemetery at 2 p.m. Followed by a ‘scaled down’ version of the field day in the Community Centre with tea served.
