-

WEXFORD SCHOOL of Ballet & Performing Arts, which has been running successfully for than 51 years, is to present its end-of-season production ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ on Friday, June 30, and Saturday, July 1, in the Dun Mhuire Theatre.

Suzanne O’Leary from the school said the story reminds us that being different is okay and people can find the good in everyone if they look deep enough.

She said the costumes and sets are fabulous in this production and the cast are made up of well known actors and actresses.

‘Our Quasimodo is being played by the wellknown and multi-talented Michael Farrell, opposite him playing the cruel Minister Frollo, is the brilliant Neal O’Leary.

‘We have two Esmereldas, the beautiful Ceris Brown on Friday night and the equally stunning Sadhbh Murphy on Saturday night. Both these girls are outstanding in their portrayal of the character. The songs Outcasts and the Pagan Ave Maria being two of the show’s highlights,’ said Suzanne.

‘Our narrators sure know how to pack a punch: Catherine Devereux and April Roche Kelly lead this show and take no prisoners along the way. Strong, dynamic and powerful performances from both will have you sitting up in your seat.’

Pheobus, the Captain of the Guard, is another well-known face to the Wexford stage, Dylan Walsh, and the three gargoyles, Alex Saunders, Katie Murphy and Claire Flynn, will give you a giggle.

There are lots of other solo singers and per-

formers involved in this massive production.
