THE ALL-IRELAND singles championships and All-Ireland ringers championships were held in Bunclody on Saturday.
All-Ireland singles, Division 1 semi-finals: Brendan Earle (Monageer) beat Tom Connors (Woodsmen), 21-15; Michael Redmond (Woodsmen) beat Paddy Connors (Woodsmen), 21-11.
Final: Michael Redmond beat Brendan Earle, 21-18.
Division 2 semi-finals: Gavin Collier (Doran’s Bridge ‘B’) beat Seán O’Connor (Gouleyduff), 21-11; Dean Collier (Doran’s Bridge ‘B’) beat Christy Doyle (Gouleyduff), 21-17.
Final: Gavin Collier beat Dean Collier, 21-8.
Congratulations to the winners, with Michael Redmond being by far the most consistent thrower on the day and deservedly taking the honours.
This wraps up a good few weeks for Collier, having won the Wexford title as well. Well done to both.

The Wexford league Division 1 singles championship was held in Ferns on Tuesday.
Semi-finals: Paddy Connors (Woodsmen) beat Harry Kinch (Doran’s Bridge ‘A’), 21-18; Michael Redmond (Woodsmen) beat Walter Christopher (Monageer), 21-11.
Final: Paddy Connors beat Michael Redmond, 21-18.
Congratulations to Paddy, beating last year’s winner Michael Redmond in the final. It was a well-deserved victory.
On Tuesday, July 4, at 6.30 p.m. in Bunclody, the Leinster League pairs will commence.
It will follow on July 11, also in Bunclody.
The Wexford league continues as normal on Wednesday, July 5, at 7.30p.m.
The Tommy Owens Cup, an open doubles tournament, will be held on Thursday, July 6, at 7 p.m. in the league field, Ferns.
