Photograph­er and journalist Jim Campbell will present his ‘Journey into the Unknown’ talk at Gorey Library at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18.

The talk covers his recent travels around the conflict areas of Syria and Iraq.

This year’s 10km Pink Rock Run takes place on Sunday, July 23, beginning at midday. Organised by St Joseph’s Athletic, the road race incorporat­es the County 10k Championsh­ips. Taking in the beautiful scenery of the Pink Rock area, this is the best value for money race around with refreshmen­ts and a barbecue afterwards back at the club grounds at Rosbercon Parish Centre.

FOULKSMILL­S DUCK RACE

There will be great quack at this year’s Foulksmill­s Duck Race, taking place from 6.30 p.m. Everyone is invited to the banks of the river Corach at Foulksmill­s Park for an old fashioned family friendly evening of plastic duck racing on the river. Gorey Library from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Free. Sign up at the library.
