BALLYDUFF NS

Mr Lorcan Browne will be appointed as Principal of Ballyduff NS from September 2017 teaching fifth and sixth class, Ms Anna Murphy will teach junior and senior infants, Ms Joanna Kavanagh will teach first and second, Ms Emma Morris will teach third and fourth, Ms Mary Codd will remain in learning support and Ms Mairead O’Connor will be the shared resource teacher between Ballyduff NS and Tombrack NS. We hope everyone enjoys their summer break.

BARN DANCE AND BARBECUE

The Ballamon Bull Fest barn dance and barbecue on Saturday, July 22, from 9 p.m. till late at Harry and Amanda Murphys Farmyard Ballamon. Tickets €10. Proceeds to Kilrush-Askamore GAA Club and St Patrick’s Special School Enniscorth­y. Music by Various Artists. Buses from Carnew, Bunclody and Ferns. All support greatly appreciate­d.

ART COMPETITIO­N

Well done to Erin Doyle, who won first prize overall in the National School section of the Wexford County Council Biodiversi­ty Art competitio­n Bees recently, to Kate Doyle, who won first prize in the fifth and sixth class category and Elese, who was highly commended in third class for her painting.

KIDS’ CLUB

Kids’ summer club will be held in Ferns community centre from Tuesday, August 8, to Friday, August 11, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 a.m. Activities include games, crafts, Bible stories, songs, quizzes and snacks. For more informatio­n and to book a place ring Johanna at 086 1621546.

DEVELOPMEN­T GROUP

Community Litter Pick planned for Saturday, July 22, or any day or time that suits. All help appreciate­d. We meet from 7 p.m. on Monday evenings to work on this year’s projects and to tidy our village. Follow us on Facebook and on ballyduffv­illage.com website. We are asking homeowners to continue cleaning the stretch of road 20 meters on both sides of your property as we continue to work to keep our roads litter-free.

BALLYDUFF LADIES’ CLUB
