TABLE QUIZ

The table quiz continues in the Strand Bar, Cahore on Friday Nights at 10 p.m. Cost to enter is €3 Per Perso. Proceeds in aid of Ballygarre­tt Church Funds.

BLOTTO DRAW

There was no winner in last week’s Ballygarre­tt Réalt na Mara GAA Club blotto draw. The numbers picked were 16, 24, 28 and 31. The €20 lucky-dip winners were Anna Maria Kennelly, Oisin, Orla & Diarmuid Dunbar, Mick Hughes Ballyoughn­a, Joe Hughes, Ollie Newsome. The five free tickets winner was Jim & Him. This week’s jackpot rose to €11,800.

FUNDRAISIN­G SWIM

Courtown Surf Lifesaving will hold fundraisin­g 1.5km swim and board races from Courtown RNLI Station to the Burrow Beach on Monday, August 7.

Swim races from Courtown (RNLI Station) to Burrow from midday. Board races from Courtown (RNLI Station) to Burrow from 2 p.m. Junior Nipper Board race at Burrow beach at 3 p.m.

Entry for under-16s is €10, and €25 for those aged 16 and up. Register from 11 a.m. at the RNLI Station. Barbecue on the beach afterwards. More details available on courtownsw­imclub.com.

BRIDGE CLUB

Come play bridge every Monday night for the summer months of July and August at 7 p.m. at Seán Óg’s Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge. Partner required. Results for Monday, July 24 – first: Carmel O’Riordan and Petria O’Sullivan. Second: Michael Whelan and Stasia O’Loughlin.

Also, bridge is played every Thursday morning from 10 a.m. at Seán Óg’s. No partner needed – we have a joker system in operation – all are welcome. Results from Thursday, July 20 – first: Jo and Podge Ussher. Second Mary O’Doherty and Mary O’Rourke.
