FIELD DAY THANKS

Castletown Parish Pastoral Council would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who played any part in making our recent annual field day/Fun Day a success, despite the weather.

So a huge thanks to the following: Our volunteers who somehow manage to turn up every year to and give of their time and energy – from gate stewards, MC, planners, sellers, servers providers etc.

Those, who work in the weeks and days before hand to plan and organise the event; those who create and donate the most mouth watering home bakes and produce that just fly out the door every single year; our Dog Show Judge, Shane McGuckin of the Veterinary Hospital, Gorey, who is so generous of his time each year to come along and judge all the four legged beauties; Castletown National School, for use of their premises.

To each of you, every person who came along, brought friends and family, and helped us raise much needed funds for our Parish Community. I hope I have not neglected to include anyone, but it’s very simple, we are grateful for any and all help received.

In the Main Draw, the prizes went as follows: €500 – Sarah Mooney; Bike, sponsored by Frank Kinsella – Mairead Flynn c/o Tom Lawlor; Oil to the value of €200, sponsored by Halnon Oil – Yvonne Fogarty; €50 voucher, sponsored by Halpin Furniture – Seán Kavanagh, Park Bawn

We hope to have a full list of all funds raised on the church notice board by the end of this week. We sincerely thank our generous sponsors, without whose support we could not field this event.
