A 22.5-acre non-residential holding at Bolinready, Ballycanew, will go up for auction in the coming weeks with a guide price of around €200,000.

The land, located on the Watch House Hill, some 4km from Ballycanew, will go under the hammer of auctioneer David Quinn at the Quinn Property office in Gorey on Friday, September 22, at 3 p.m.

‘It’s a good piece of land, in a mix of tillage and grass,’ said David. ‘It has good access to the public road. We’re guiding it at between €8,000 and €9,000 per acre.’

Quinn Property has two auctions on the schedule the following Tuesday, September 26.

Cedar Lodge at Courtown Demesne will be offered at auction at 2 p.m. in the Quinn Property office, with a guide price of between €75,000 and €80,000. David said that the four-bedroom bungalow, which sits on a third of an acre, is in need of some upgrading. It is located close to Courtown Golf Course and has pedestrian access to the beach.

Later that day at 4 p.m. in the Quinn Property Carnew office, Abbeygale House, Coolattin, Shillelagh, will go under the hammer with a guide price of €200,000 to €220,000.

This Georgian period house located across from the entrance to Coolattin House was formerly part of the estate.

David said that the 3,230 sq.ft. house has five en suite bedrooms and beautiful mature gardens. ‘It retains a lot of its original features,’ he said.
