-

THE former Miss World Rosanna Davison and the celebrity chef Kevin Dundon are lending their support to Wexford Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Service for local fundraising and public awareness events in early October.

Ms. Davison whose grandmother Maeve Davison lives at Bargy Castle in Tomyhaggard, is coming to Wexford on Wednesday, October 4 to speak to staff of the Clifford Street centre and to highlight the issue of sexual violence and the service available to victims.

A few days earlier, on Sunday, October 1, an event called ‘The Best of Wexford from Head to Toe’ will be held in Clayton Whites Hotel from 2 pm to 6 pm, featuring a cookery demonstration by Kevin Dundon of Dunbrody House and over 30 stands presented by local businesses in health, beauty, fashion, wellness, make-up, art and jewellery.

Guests will enjoy live music and a glass of prosecco on arrival and one lucky candidate will receive a make-over courtesy of a competition running on South East Radio in the coming weeks. Fashion advice will be given by blogger Denise Brophy from Holychic.ie.

The sponsors include BNY Mellon, South East Radio, Clayton Whites Hotel, Sam McCauleys and Tweeting Goddess Samantha Kelly, the social media strategist who lives in Rosslare Harbour.

Tickets at €10 each are available at the reception in Clayton Whites Hotel. To book a stand contact clare@wexfordrapecrisis.com.
