Results of whist drive held in hall on Friday night, September 1,: Gents first Bob Hayes, second Cyril Bryan, third Kevin Conroy; Gents Half Time ; Ladies first Eileen Furlong, second Rosarii Gillick, third Florence Kavanagh and G. Power; Ladies Half Time Anne Roche. Whist drive every Friday night in the hall.

FIRST RESPONDERS

Ballycanew Community First Responders (BCFR) is a recently formed group where volunteers will be trained in using a defibrilla­tor and will attend people reporting cardiac arrest, stroke, choking or chest pain while an ambulance is being dispatched. In order for BCFR to progress we need more volunteers. It will work around your own commitment­s. If you would like more informatio­n please contact John at 087 0541408 or Karen at 087 9052238.

WALK/RUN FOR BALLYMORE

There is a 5km/9km road walk/ run in aid of Ballymore Church on Sunday, September 17. Registrati­on at 2.30 p.m., walk commences at 3 p.m. from Ballymore Church grounds. Refreshmen­ts will be served afterwards.
