SCHOOL NEWS

Court NS would like to welcome all our students back to school, especially our 12 junior infants: Adam Crean, Danny Kinsella, Eleanor Lait-Doran, Kyle Owens, Ronan Prendergas­t, Katie Doran, Callum Hall, Riain Flannery, Emily Dunne, Camille Crean, Seán Hughes and Eva Quigley. We would also like to welcome our new Principal, Brendan Roache to our school.

Clothing Collection – We will be running another clothing collecting on Monday, November 13. If anyone wishes to leave bags of clothes, shoes etc into the school at any stage you are welcome to do so. We appreciate your support in helping us raise funds for the school.

Sport – We wish all of our boys and girls the very best of luck as they begin taking part in Mini Sevens and Rackard League Football in the weeks ahead. Court NS abú.

We are excited to announce that a brand new club-school GAA coaching initiative will take place this September. Many thanks to Buffers Alley GAA for their support and hard work in organising this wonderful initiative.

MUSIC CLASSES

Kilmuckrid­ge

Monamolin Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Branch will resume classes in Monamolin Community Centre on Monday, September 11, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Tuition will be given on a variety of instrument­s: tin whistle, flute, piano accordion, button accordion, key board and fiddle. Group and individual lessons available. For further informatio­n ring Nuala at 087 9886304 or Joan at 087 2275303. New pupils very welcome.

GAA CLUB NOTES

Club School Initiative – Buffers Alley GAA and camogie clubs cordially invite all parents of underage boys and girls and adult members of the club to the official launch of their Club School Initiative in the clubhouse on Thursday night next, September 14 at 8 p.m.

The club is very appreciati­ve of both Court National school, Monamolin and St Joseph’s Primary School, Kilmuckrid­ge, who are embracing this new initiative, kindly sponsored by AIRCONMECH.

They are delighted to announce that they will be sending in volunteers to both schools to further develop the work undertaken by the teachers and the Wexford GAA coaching team. It is planned that the Buffers Alley coaches will visit the schools in September/October and March/ June. We look forward to seeing you on the 14th, a great opportunit­y to hear more about this initiative.

All-Ireland Football Scratch Card Fundraiser – Buffers Alley have all-Ireland Football Final Lucky First Goal scratch tickets in circulatio­n at the moment. The tickets cost €2 and are available from players and members of the club,

If you match the time of the first goal scored by either team, you will win €500. It is worth getting your hands on one of these tickets.
