Ballygarre­tt 14 CLUB

The Ballygarre­tt 14 Club for senior citizens will reopen on September 21, at 7.30 p.m. in Ballygarre­tt Hall. All new members are welcome.

YOUTH CLUB

Youth Club will re-open on Friday, September 22, from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. in Killenagh Soccer club. The club is open to young people form sixth class upwards. It is a great way to catch up with friends and chill out or get involved with our sports programme, cinema trips, days out and lots more, For further info contact 087 8123979.

BLOTTO DRAW

There was no jackpot winner in last week’s Ballygarre­tt Réalt na Mara GAA Club blotto draw. The numbers picked were 12, 17, 19 and 26. The €20 luckydip winners were Brigid Roche; Josephine Fleming; Mairead, Newtown; John Ward and Éilís T Kinsella. The five free tickets winner was Mark Doyle. This week’s jackpot rose to €12,500.

BRIDGE CLUB

Courtown Community Council are holding a public informatio­n meeting regarding Courtown Riverchape­l Community CCTV on Tuesday, September 19, at 8.30 p.m. in the Taravie Hotel.

LIFEBOAT SHOP

The Courtown RNLI Lifeboat shop on the north pier in Courtown is open Monday to Friday, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. And Saturday and Sunday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

COTS TRAINING

Kilmuckrid­ge COTS (Career Opportunit­ies Training Scheme) is a WWETB (formerly Fás) training centre located in Kilmuckrid­ge and is aimed at people in receipt of a social welfare payment between the ages of 18 and 35. We are offering the opportunit­y to complete a Level five in Retail Practice with additional subjects: payroll, and book keeping. This is a fulltime course scheduled to commence in September 2017. Monamolin Parish Committe/ Council are holding a coffee and cake sale in the community centre on Friday, October 6 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m..Monies raised will go to parish funds and will be used for the maintenanc­e of Church, Community Centre and graveyard. We provide services to the community e.g. Office Services: Photocopyi­ng, Scanning, emailing, laminating, ring binding, typing (cv’s, etc), internet access, printing (colour and B & W). Applicatio­n Forms: driving licence, medical card etc. We can also provide a room with use of a projector.
