Capitalising on his recent county win, Colm Parnell has added the Leinster under-17 Singles 60/30 title to his handball medal collection. He defeated stiff opposition from Meath and then Kilkenny in the Leinster final in Garryhill. Best of luck from Ballyhogue Handball Club to Colm in the all-Ireland semi-final.
FITNESS TRAINING

BREE YOUTH CLUB
Bree Youth Club has reopened on Friday nights. Junior Club will run from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. And Senior Club from 8.30.10 p.m. Young people wishing to join must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Parents are strongly encouraged to help with supervision in the club. We ask one adult from each household to give just three hours of their time over the course of the club year to help with supervision. With a little help from everyone we can continue to provide a meeting place for the young people of the parish and surrounding areas.
ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The next social of Bree ARI will take place on Wednesday, September 20, at the usual times from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a committee meeting before the social event at 1.30 p.m. We wish our bowling team good luck in Killarney. For more information contact 086 0747823.

Organisations using or intending to use Bree Community Centre for the resumption of activities in September are asked to contact Eddie Dunne to confirm, book regular meetings, classes and events. This is to ensure that there are no overlaps or confusion around bookings.

A full guild meeting takes place in Bree Community Centre at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19. Anyone wishing to join our guild would be very welcome.

Congratulations to Aoife Cloke Rochford on winning Wexford Athlete of the month for June. Congratulations also to Ryan Murray on being part of the Wexford Men’s Team which won gold in Division 1 of the AAI National League.

BREE PARISH JOURNAL
Preparations are under way for this year’s edition of Bree Parish Journal. All clubs and organisations in the parish are asked to have a report of their activities over the past two years ready by the end of Oct. The committee is also looking for photographs particularly of groups of people from times past as well as items suitable for publication pertaining to places or people of the area including notable family celebrations.
