Kilmuckrid­ge Community and Family Resource Centre would like to thank everyone that supported our coffee morning in the Crosses on Friday, September 15. A big thank you as always to Nicky and Francis for use of the premises.

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

Circle of friends return to the KMH Kilmuckrid­ge on Tuesday, October 3, commencing at 7.30 p.m. with guest speaker on health and wellbeing. All welcome – members and non-members. Adm. €4.

CALENDAR

The annual Tidy Towns Calendar is on sale in shops and Cafés in the village. The calendar features photo competitio­n entries from the exhibition held during Easter in the KMH. All proceeds from the sale of the calendar will go towards Kilmuckrid­ge Tidy Towns, who will endeavour to keep our village beautiful.

TRADITIONA­L SONG PROJECT

The next meeting of the Kilmuckrid­ge Tidy Towns/Traditiona­l Song project will be at Seán Óg’s, 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, and the following Thursdays for six weeks in total: October 5, 12, 19, 26, November 9.

TEA OR COFFEE AFTERNOON

A tea or coffee Afternoon takes place in the Ballagh Hall on Saturday, October 14, starting at 2 p.m. Also bric-a-brac, Face painting. Fun and games and Fancy dress for kids. Prize for best dressed boy and girl. Adm €5 children free. From 9 p.m. music by Mary Farrell at 9 p.m. in Bobs Bar, raffle and spot prizes. Proceeds in aid of Touched by Suicide.

PLOUGHING DISTINCTIO­N

Congratula­tions to Dan Donnelly, Kilnew on his outstandin­g achievemen­t of second in Europe, at the 34th European Reversible Ploughing contest in Dissenhofe­n Switzerlan­d in August.

AFTERNOON OF PRAYER

The annual Pioneer Afternoon of Prayer takes place at Ballyvaloo Retreat Centre, Blackwater on Sunday, October 8, Contact Peter Canning 087 2101284.

COFFEE EVENING

A coffee evening and cake sale Will be held in Monamolin Community Centre on Friday, October 6, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Proceeds in aid of parish funds. All support appreciate­d. Door prize and raffle. Tickets on sale in shop and from parish council members.

BRIDGE CLUB

CHARITY BINGO

Charity bingo is on every Friday in the Crosses Kilmuckrid­ge at 8 p.m. Next Bingo is on Friday, September 29, for Kilmuckrid­ge Family Resource Centre.

Winning numbers in the St Mary’s Church lotto in associatio­n with St Joseph’s Soccer Club for Monday, September 18: 3, 5, 12 and 13. There was no jackpot winner, and no match-three winner. Next jackpot €13,350, tickets €2 sold locally. Next draw on September 25 in Upton Court at 10 p.m.
