Larkin’s goal wins derby for Bunclody

Tombrack United 0, Bunclody A.F.C. 1: These sides are among the favourites to be in contention for the title and they played out a very evenly-contested encounter in Tombrack on Saturday.

Defences and goalkeeper­s dominated and chances were kept to a minimum until Faye Larkin eventually broke the deadlock five minutes from the end to give Bunclody all three points.

Forth Celtic 4, All Blacks 1: Celtic opened their league campaign with a win when they overcame All Blacks 4-1 thanks to goals from Aisling O’Sullivan, Lauren McLoughlin, Grace Roche and Sarah Carroll.

Seren Ward was on target for All Blacks.

St. Leonards 7, Ballindagg­in 0: A young Ballindagg­in side had no answer to the firepower of the fast-paced home side who eventually ran out 7-0 winners.

Eadaoin Kent and Eimear Gabbett scored two each with Lauren Roche, Shauna Hackett and Lydia McGrath all adding a goal apiece.

Curracloe United 1, Seaview United 1: These sides played out an interestin­g but evenly-matched encounter with both having to settle for a point at the end.

Rebecca Fanning scored for Curracloe while Jennifer Dunne found the net for Seaview.

Aughrim Rangers 1, Shelburne F.C. 1: Shelburne made the long journey to Aughrim but came away with a well-earned point after a highly entertaini­ng and hard-fought encounter.

Niamh O’Shea scored for Shelburne with Jade Shannon responding for the home side.

Carnew F.C. 1, Adamstown 13: Madeline Nolan was on target for Carnew but they had no answer to the sheer firepower of Adamstown who ran out very comfortabl­e winners.

Cora Banville and Laura Banville scored a hat-trick each while Chloe Doyle, Ellen Duggan and Karolina Jaglarz added two apiece, with Chloe O’Toole also finding the net for the visitors.

New Ross Celtic 1, Moyne Rangers 5: Moyne have started the season impressive­ly and made it two wins from two games when they travelled to New Ross Celtic and came away 5-1 winners.

Gráinne Rellis scored for Celtic but a Shauna Redmond hat-trick and goals from Amy Redmond and Shanise O’Reilly gave Moyne all three points.
