CRAANFORD NS OPEN DAY

St Patricks National School, Craanford will hold an open day on Friday 1st December from 2-4pm. This is a great opportunit­y for any new families to see the school, view the facilities and to meet the staff. Enrolment forms for September 2018 will be available on the day. Everybody welcome!

OPERATION TRANSFORDM­ATION 2018

New Year–New You–New Dressing Rooms. The Craanford Dressing Rooms Fundraisin­g Committee is proud to announce ‘Operation TransFORDm­ation’. Beginning in January, this is an 8 week program of fun events, community togetherne­ss & healthy competitio­n. There will be 8 Teams & we are now seeking volunteers for the position of Team Leaders from these areas. Volunteers will encourage their teams to get active, have fun and raise money too. DEEPEST SYMPATHIES

Last weekend Paddy Whitty passed away gently from this world to his eternal reward in heaven. He leaves us with a wonderful legacy of a gentle man where family was to the forefront ofallhedid.

We offer our deepest sympathies to his sons Patrick and Danny and their families, his sister Ciss and all extended family members, we offer you all our deepest sympathies. We will continue to support you with friendship and love in the days and months ahead. May his gentle soul rest peacefully now in the arms of the Lord.

ART EXHIBITION

Congratula­tions to local artist Brid Lyons who has a wonderful exhibition entitled “Into the light” currently showing in Gorey Library.

SPLIT THE POT

On 17th Nov the prize of €146 was won by Darragh Kavanagh, Island Upper whose entry was purchased in St Patrick’s National School, Craanford. Congratula­tions Darragh!

The co-ordinating team for Friday, 1st December is Team 6: Anne Marie O’Sullivan, Jacinta Donohoe & Oliver Murray.

As a thank you to our loyal supporters we will have a Christmas Hamper added to the prizes for Split the Pot on each of the three Fridays before Christmas: 8th, 15th and 22nd December. Good luck everyone!

WEEK DAY MASSES–Monday to Thursday at 9.15am. For the comfort of parishione­rs during the cold season we will have daily Mass in the side chapel.

RADIO MASS–Mass on Southeast Radio will be broadcast live from St Patrick’s Church, Craanford on Sunday 10th December at 10am. Please note change of time for Mass. Music will be provided by our Parish Choir. This is an annual outreach to those who are sick and housebound and a communicat­ion with our exiles abroad who can tune in via the internet. Southeast Radio, the best sound around!

FLOWERS FOR THE CHURCH–Sincere thanks to all who contribute­d to our annual porch collection for the church flowers in support of Olive, Susanjane and Annie who do such good work throughout the year. The amount contribute­d was €638. Your generosity is greatly appreciate­d.

PARISH COUNCIL–Craanford Parish Council Meeting will meet on Monday, 27th November at 8pm in the Parochial House.
