SVP CHRISTMAS APPEAL

Saint Vincent de Paul will take up the annual Christmas Appeal collection at all Masses on the weekend of December 9/10. St Vincent de Paul thank you for your generous support in the past and look forward to your continued support in the future. All money collected will be used to relieve financial stress for families locally.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Kilmuckrid­ge Family Resource Centre would like to extend a big thank you all for turning out for our Christmas Concert on Friday night. What a night; there was no end to the amazing talent.

A big thanks to our performers Stephen Murphy, Mary Farrell, Shauna Byrne and Laura McGuiness, Jessie Butler and Helena Murray, the Castlebrid­ge Gospel Choir, the Ballygarre­tt Choir, Paul Murphy, Alannah McCarthy, Molly Doyle, Kathleen Byrne and Christine Black, Belle Voce. The show could not have gone on without our MC – Ger Teehan, Rob Weldon and Mono (Sound), Billy McCreary (Lights) and Eithne Corrigan, who provided expert accompanim­ent.

Finally a big thank you to those that worked so hard to make the night a success, our sponsors and to Upton Court management and staff for the use of their premises. Merry Christmas. See you all next year.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

Kilmuckrid­ge Family Resource Centre are holding a clothes collection on Monday, December 11. Please drop off bags before 9.30 a.m. Bags can also be dropped before the 11th during opening hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday Friday. LINE DANCING

Line Dancing continues in the Upton Court (Seán Óg’s) every Monday night at the new time of 7.30 p.m.

CHARITY BINGO

Bingo is played every Thursday in the Crosses Kilmuckrid­ge at 8 p.m. Next Bingo is on Thursday, December 7, jackpot €410, proceeds to Kilmuckrid­ge Christmas lights.

Come play bridge at Seán Óg’s Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge every Thursday morning from 10 a.m. New members welcome. No partner required. We have joker system in operation. SONG PROJECT

The launch of Kilmuckrid­ge Song Project will take place on Sunday, December 10, at 3 p.m. in Joe Hammels lounge. The song book will be launched while local songs will be performed by a variety of singers. This project is facilitate­d by Traditonal singer Aileen Lambert in conjunctio­n with Wexford County Council and supported by Kilmuckrid­ge Tidy Towns.

BUFFERS ALLEY GAA

Poker Classic – This year’s Poker Classic will take place Wednesday, December 27, at 8 p.m. in the Buffers Alley Clubhouse. Tickets, €20, are now on sale from club members and can also be purchased at the door on the night. Refreshmen­ts will be served and the bar will be running promotions for the players on the night. The Door Prize is being kindly sponsored by Hammell’s Centra Kilmuckrid­ge.

Tony Doran Book Signing – Tony Doran will be in attendance in Buffers Alley on Friday night, December 8, from 7 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. to sign copies of his recently launched autobiogra­phy, Land of Giants and Men in conjunctio­n with a club Coffee Evening.

Annual general meeting – The adult club’s annual general meeting will take place on Saturday, December 9, at 7.45 p.m. in the clubhouse. It is important that all members and players make a special effort to attend this important meeting. annual general meetings are the platform where decisions are made for the coming year and this year is particular­ly important as changes to fixtures at county level at taken place and will be implanted for 2018. The deceased members of the club will be remembered at the 6 p.m. Mass in Monamolin on the same night. The following evening, Sunday, December 9, the camogie club will hold their AGM at 4 p.m. in the clubhouse.

Coffee Evening/Medal Presentati­on – The club will hold a Coffee Evening in the clubhouse on Friday, December 8, from 7 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Come along, bring your friends and have an enjoyable few hours. The under-12 and under-14 boys will also receive their county medals on the same night.

Fundraisin­g/Social Events – The club is hosting a number of fundraisin­g/social events in the coming weeks. The golf classic will take place on Friday, December 29, please book your time with Murt Managan. Tony Doran will once again host his GAA Quiz in the clubhouse on Thursday, January 18. A club lunch will also take place in January with details to b.e confirmed.
