Up for new Wexford film ‘Drifter’

and early thirties inspired the screenplay for his first feature film.

He crafted the screenplay before bringing co-writer Darryl Neville on board and the pair developed the script over a numbger of years.

Justin is producing the film and is also playing the role of Wilson Bander while Darryl is directing and playing Chris Bond. The two other lead roles are performed by Maya Lindh, playing Emily and Sarah Tapes Jenkinson, playing Jackie Bander.

They have a strong supporting cast in place and a skilled crew with everyone being passionate about the production and the social messages it highlights, according to Justin.

The story follows Wilson, an ex-boxer who is attempting to recover from addictions and mental health difficulti­es while trying to keep his marriage alive. His close friend Chris, an ex-marine is a big support but is also battling his own inner demons.

The characters must strive to overcome weaknesses and fears and find acceptance of themselves to make long-lasting changes. The film is about triumph over mental health challenges, said Justin, who is several years into training to be a counsellor.
