Don’t forget that Coolgreany Amateur Dramatic Society will again present ‘Many Happy Returns’ by Bernard Farrell, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 28 to December 30 in Inch Hall, after what was an excellent pre-Christmas run.

COMMUNITY ALERT
Because of a recent burglary in our local area, and other incidents the local community, the Community Alert group are appealing for the full cooperation of everyone in our area to be as observant as possible.
Please look out for all our neighbours, especially all our senior citizens, and if at all possible call and check if everything is alright. See if they may need any help in getting out for their necessities when the occasion arises.

TIDY TOWNS
The Local Tidy Towns Group would like to say a very sincere Thanks to everyone who helped the group in so many ways during the past year, especially with the preparations for the Tidy Towns adjudication, looking after the flower beds and the cleaning of all the roads and surrounding areas. Thanks also to the local CE workers for all their efforts.
We would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and every success in 2018, and hope we get the same support again in the future.

Congratulations to Holly Hudson, Newtown, whose fourth birthday was last Wednesday, December 20; Nicole Kelly, Coolnagloose, who celebrated her birthday last Wednesday; also birthday greetings to Emma Boland, Knockgreany, who celebrated her 10th birthday on December 21.

HANDBALL LOTTO
Coolgreany Handball lotto now stands at €3,300, lotto tickets are available in Jim Short’s, Coolgreany post office, O’Rafferty’s. and Liam Clare. A new prize format is now in place, with seven lucky dips worth €30 each and one Sellers Prize. There was one lucky-dip winner with Michael Ward Newtown receiving €30. Your support is very much appreciated by the club.
ROAD BOWLS
Road bowling will be played on Sunday, December 31, at 2 p.m. in Ballyfad in aid of the Duathlon for Jim and Liam McCarthy. Entry is €40 for a team of four. Contact 087 2223230 for information.
