Film Festival’s first deadline coming up

JANUARY 31 is the early deadline for entrants in the Wexford Film Festival, with the final deadline set for June 20. Independent filmmakers from all over the world are expected to submit work for the event which is now in its third year.

Entrants must send an online digital version of their film for viewing condideration – no DVDs, Blu-Rays or computer files will be accepted. The organisers hope to have world class writers and directors in attendance for workshops and question and answer sessions after screenings.

The directors have teamed up with RODE Microphones for the 2018 Wexford Film Festival which means that the winner of the Best Film award will receive two Rodelink Filmmaker Kits and one of Rode’s brand new VideoMic Pro+ microphones. The Best Film Award will also include a one-year Red Giant Universe membership courtesy of RedGiant.com. The winners of Best Film and Best Director awards will each receive a licence for the FilmConvert software, courtesy of FilmConvert which is the official sponsor for 2018. FilmConvert is film emulation and grain software that works in the leading software packages to help you get cinematic-looking results. The festival is also running a Screenplay competition.
