SYMPATHY
Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Molly O’Toole, Kilmuckridge, who died recently. Predeceased by her beloved husband Peter, brothers Jim, Lar and John, sisters Bridie and Kathleen. Sadly missed by her son Peter, brother Martin, sisters Peg, Liz, Nancy and Joan, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, sister-in-law extended family.
Sympathy is also extended to the family of the late Mick Breen, Ballinahask. Predeceased by his beloved wife Maureen and sadly missed by his sister peg, brother-in-law mike, nephews, nieces, extended family.
MEN’S SHED
The Men’s Shed will return from their Christmas Break on the first Tuesday, February 6,
The Shed is open on Tues- days and Thursdays from about 10.30 a.m. till 4 p.m.
WIZARD OF OZ
The magic and the music of the classic show ‘Wizard of Oz’ came to the KMH last Thursday night continuing till Sunday with a full house every night. This wonderful show under the direction of Mary Farrell and over 100 cast and crew, was a huge success and we look forward to next year’s production. Well done to all.
ST JOSEPH’S SCHOOL
Application forms are available for enrolment of junior infants at St Joseph’s Primary School Kilmuckridge for September 2018. Open Night is on February 7 at 7 p.m. at the school.
BRIDGE CLUB

BUFFERS ALLEY GAA
MEMBERSHIP NIGHT – A membership Night for GAA, Coiste na nÓg and camogie will take place in the clubhouse on Friday, February 2, at 7.30. Members may also join up the various draws on the same night. Please note change of night. There is also an opportunity for Buffers Alley members to avail of their club Bank Standing Order facility for easy payments. This option is worth considering should you wish to spread payments for 2018 over the calendar year (club draw, membership, model county draw, etc). CLUB DEVELOPMENT DRAW – Tickets are in circulation for the club monthly draw – €10 per month or €120 for the year. The draw takes place on the last Thursday of each month with €650 in prizes. All support greatly appreciated from all sections of the club in addition to our loyal supporters of friends of Buffers Alley.
CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW – Excitement is building up in Buffers Alley and all other clubs as we approach the 2018 adult championship draw which will take place in the Talbot Hotel on Saturday, February 3, at 6 p.m. The draw will be broadcast live in conjunction with the South East Radio Sport’s Programme.
CLUB PLANNING NIGHT – Buffers Alley GAA and camogie clubs are undertaking the GAA Club Planning Programme with a steering committee in place to bring the project to fruition in the coming months. One of the first steps is to host a workshop for everyone associated in any way with Buffers Alley.
The workshop will take place at Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckridge and will cover areas such as adult and Underage games development; Facilities and Development; Communications/ PR and Cultural activities; Club Structures and Administration; Finance and Fundraising. Every- one, whether they are a player, parent, supporter or a former player has a part to play in Planning for the years ahead and steering our club into the future. We are looking for a massive turnout for Upton Court in early February (date to be confirmed shortly).

Fitness training that involves boxing concepts. It’s combines boxing and exercise with great fun. Starts Wednesday, January 24, at 7.15 p.m. in the KMH Kilmuckridge. Six weeks €48. SONG PROJECT
Kilmuckridge Tidy Towns held the launch of the song project ‘Songs of Kilmuckridge (and beyond...)’ recently in Joe Hammel’s lounge. This project was facilitated by Aileen Lambert, traditional singer with support from Tidy Towns and the arts dept of wexford county council. Song books and DVDs are on sale in the Photo Shop and Joe Hammel’s.
CALENDAR
The annual Tidy Towns Calendar is on sale in shops in the village. The calendar features photo competition entries from the exhibition held during Easter in the KMH All proceeds from the sale of the calendar will go towards Kilmuckridge Tidy Towns, who will endeavour to keep our village beautiful.
