GAA CLUB NOTES
The winning run of something like 16 games and training for 51 weeks, finally came to an end for the adult footballers last week. It has been a great season and the panel did the club and parish and county proud. It starts all over again shortly.
Under-20 football starts in February. Adult league in March. The under-17 footballers will have played the Jim Byrne Cup final v Starlights on Sunday the fourth. We were runners-up last year. Hopefully we went one more step on Sunday.
There was no jackpot winner in the recent lotto draw. There was one match-three winner Noel Murphy the numbers were: 6, 7, 15, 21. Next draw for €3,900 takes place in the Gap on Monday the 12th.

First lady at last week’s Whist was Nancy Forde, second lady was Deirdre Power and half time lady was Kathleen Carr. First gent was Cyril Bryan, second gent was Betty Rose and half time gent was Mary McCarthy. Student winner was Ross Bailey. Raffle winners were.
Kathleen Carr, Peg Byrne and Violet Bailey. Whist continues on Wednesday night at 8.30 p.m.
OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS
The first night of Opportunity Knocks 2018provided everybody with a variety of entertainment and was enjoyed by all. There are two more preliminary rounds on Friday, February 9 and 16 with the final on February 23. Please contact Helen as soon as possible at 087 6429291

BALLYFAD ICA
To celebrate 50 years of Ballyfad ICA the guild are organising a four-day tour of Donegal from Tuesday, June 19, to Friday, June 22, staying in the Villa Rose Hotel in Ballybofey. Attractions to visit include St Mel’s Cathedral, Doagh Famine Village, WB Yeats Grave and Drumcliffe Church Glenveigh National Park, Glemcolomcille Folk Village. Admission to all attractions in included in the overall price.

The guild’s February meeting is on Monday, February 12, at 8 p.m. Yogalates continues in Shamrock Hall Kilanerin on Tuesday nights from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. – all level of fitness welcome. €6 per class.
