There will be a new extension to the rear of the building creating a multifunctional space which could be used as a exhibition, performance or retail venue with an estimated capacity of 1,000 people.

There will also be exterior links with the building to the Main Street and Market Square.

The plans will be on public display until March 27 and submissions from members of the public should be made to Wexford County Council before April 10.

The proposed plans will also those interested in tendering for the works to see the magnitude of the works involved and the works needed to protect the existing building.
