New Ross Celtic girls shock Bunclody

New Ross Celtic 2, Bunclody A.F.C. 1: The home side caused a minor upset in the cup when knocking Division 2A team Bunclody out in a very close and entertaining match.

Catherine O’Connor was on target for the visitors, while Caoimhe Keher-Murtagh and Keelin Jensen scored for New Ross Celtic.

Gorey Rangers 5, Bree United 2: Grace Donohue scored both goals for Bree in this cup tie, but it was not enough as Rangers progressed to the second round courtesy of this 5-2 win.

Rosslare Strand 0, Tombrack United 8: Tombrack travelled to Rosslare and overcame a young home side and book a second round meeting with North End. Ana Dragusan scored four with Zoe Tobin-Cosgrave adding a hattrick, while her twin sister Amy also got on the scoresheet.

Arklow Town 0, New Ross Town 5: New Ross Town made the long journey to Arklow Town a beneficial one as they booked their place in the last 16 courtesy of this 5-0 win.

Ella Nolan scored a hat-trick for Town, with Aoibh Thomas and Leah Ryan adding a goal each.

Seaview United 2, Ballindaggin A.F.C. 0: The home side are well in contention for honours in this division, while Ballindaggin are beginning to drift away from safety after this match in Mersheen.
