Glenbrien bolts to victory GREYHOUND RACING

THE FEATURE race on last Thursday night’s card at Enniscorthy Greyhound Track was the final of the Trackside Diner A3 Stake.

In-form owner Kathleen Stamp continued her good recent run when her Glenbrien Bolt followed up the previous week’s semi win when racing to a very snug two and a half length victory over Pipers Moment in a time of 29.25.

Enniscorthy owner Derek Wilde has also enjoyed a good recent run of form, and he recorded a nice double in races one and seven.

Carrigoe Fox was recording her second win when leading up to the first bend and ran out a snug two and a half lengths to the good over Slaneyside Wilma in a time of 29.95.

Carrigoe Toddy then stepped up to score his fourth career win when running out an easy three lengths victor over the 575 trip in a time of 32.22.

Taghmon owner Andrew Sinnott’s runner Nothingtosay had plenty to say about winning race five as she overcame the trap six box to score a convincing four-length win, her second from only ten starts, in a time of 29.30.

Piercestown owner ‘Shanks’ Whelan enjoyed a fine win up in Shelbourne Park as his Piercestown Lord, the odds-on favourite, was a clearcut winner of the Bet With The Tote Coursing sire sprint final.

The other Wexford runner, Ketch Up Snoopy, ran third.

On Friday night there was another final winner at Kilkenny when the John Dunne (Enniscorthy)-owned Chanceme Jay won the Kilkenny Track A2 stake, worth a nice €1,300, after a great battle all the way around the track right to the line with the trap six runner to get the verdict by a head in a good 29.02.

Race five, The Track Bar Hot Whiskey 525 Stakes: 1, Nothingtosay (owner, Andrew Sinnott, Taghmon), 29.30; 2, Jojo On Air, 29.58.
