OPERATION TRANSFORMA­TION

Come along and join us on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. and Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. This is open to Everyone in the community, meeting at the school at 9.00 and walking around the Block One Euro donation for each walk and all money raised will go towards the purchase of a Difibrilla­tor for the parish. Please bring a High Vis Vest if you are walking Thanks.

JUMBLE SALE DONATIONS

It is hoped that Glenbrien Village Renewal Group will hold a stall in an upcoming Jumble Sale, to be held in Oylegate Community Hall on Sunday, March 11.

We are therefore seeking donations of any saleable items that people may have to contribute for this fundraiser. All items will be very gratefully received (no electrical goods please).

GAA CLUB NEWS

In the lotto held February 7, numbers drawn were 1, 10, 12 and 28, bonus 27. Lucky-dip winners were Catherine Kavanagh, Séamus Heffernan, Mary McCauley, Johnny Reck, Séamus og Heffernan, Eddie Murphy, Catherine Asple and Hilary Reck. Next draw will be held on February 21 in the Slaney Inn, Oylegate. Tickets available locally.

Membership: GAA membership for all players, mentors and social members is now due, membership can be paid to team managers or Anne Doran. Thanks for your support.

Hurling 365: Volunteers are needed to help out with hurling 365 at Oylegate and Glenbrien National Schools one morning a month before school starts. If anyone can help out with this project in either school please contact Eamon Mernagh.

SENIORS PARTY

The date of March 11 has been cancelled for the Seniors Party as it is Mothers Day, and the group decided that it was not appropiate day, We will be letting everyone know in the next week or two the new date and time.

SCHOOL NEWS

A very big thank you to all those who supported the bingo on Thursday night in the Slaney Inn, and those who helped with the raffle, the proceeds of which will go to the school. Looking forward to seeing even more there to support it again next week. Support is really appreciate­d.

Glenbrien NS is now taking enrolment applicatio­ns for the coming school year. School Admission forms for the upcoming school year 2018/19 are available from the school office. The final date for the return of admission forms is February 27.
